Area Rug Cleaning

In-Plant Rug Cleaning is recommended for Oriental Rugs and loose woven rugs. They should not be cleaned on location like wall to wall carpet.Evolution Carpet Cleaning cares for the finest to the most basic rugs from around the world. We will pick your rug up and bring it to our special cleaning plant where it will receive our very thorough 12 Step Cleaning System to get maximum soil and spot removal. Or you can bring your rug to our plant to save 20% off the cost. Having your rug cleaned in our plant allows us to give it several treatments for a more thorough cleaning, controlled drying, and the use of various tools that are not available on location.
Step 1: Pre-Inspection and Pick Up
We will determine as much as we possibly can about the type of rug and inherent qualities that may affect cleaning. We will outline the expected results and cleaning "prescription". Our company will come to your home to pick up your rug, or you may drop off small "Cash and Carry" rugs to our shop

Step 2: 24 Hour Colorfastness Test

You must inspect to know what to expect! We test all rugs with our cleaning solution to insure they will pass the colorfastness test. This test will determine the necessary procedures we must take to safely clean your rug.

Step 3: Dry Soil-Removal

Woven rugs, especially hand knotted rugs are designed to hide dry soil. A few years ago, the Eureka Company did a study and found that a 9 x 12 rug could hide up to 87 pounds of dirt! WOW! We use a variety of techniques to "dust" the rugs. A machine called a Rug Badger incorporates 50 high tech vibro straps creating highly focused vibrations to drive dirt out of a rug no matter how impacted. Then, every rug is dusted with our unique compressed air wands to remove the finest dry soiling. Finally, the fringe is treated with compressed air, to further remove any soiling. This is the most important step in cleaning
any textile.

Depending on the type of rug it could be rinsed with extraction equipment on both sides or washed in a wash pit designed especially for some woven rugs and Oriental Rugs.
- In a submersion bath, compressed air agitation assures a complete cleaning is being performed. This Jacuzzi effect greatly improves the removal of soils.

Step 8: Ultra Pure Rinse

Our exclusive Ultra pure water is used to thoroughly flushes away all remain soils and cleaning agents. The remaining water in the submersion pit is left crystal clear.

Step 9: Extraction

The rug is removed from the submersion pit and all water is thoroughly extracted.
